(More customer reviews)My wife and I both had the previous model Timex Indiglo travel alarm clock for years, and loved it.After much hard use, they eventually died, and we immediately started looking for the same model.Apparently, Timex decided to "improve" the original with this model.We bought two, and regretted it immediately.Granted, this is a lot more elegant in aesthetic, and never accidentally flops over on itself as the old model did.But it just doesn't work reliably.The beeping is unreliable--sometimes loud as expected, and sometimes a faint buzz that sounds like a blown speaker.The selector slider gets stuck and is hard to move, and then doesn't click reliably into place at the points you are trying to select.So we are ditching this model.I've heard Timex has rereleased the original model, so I'm looking for it.Whatever you do, don't buy this one.

While not the loudest alarm clock I've ever heard, it does an adequate job of getting this bump-on-a-log out of bed and to work on time.

Weighing in at only 1 lb., the Timex T104DL Alarm Clock is perfect (and durable enough) for throwing across the room when you haven't quite recovered from last night's bender.Just make sure you've inserted the two required AA batteries (found at any local grocery store) before you toss.

Recommended for people who have a job that requires you to show up on time.

(More customer reviews)My husband and I really enjoyed this clock. Why we don't have it anymore has nothing to do with how it performed. It was a great clock. We liked how the numbers were large. That LED light makes it soothing to look at as well. No bright red, yellow or green lights. Just a nice blue(and there is a dimmer switch on it if it is too bright for you). It's taller than it is long which makes it a nice space saver. We also had quite a few storms last year, and if your power goes out and comes back on later (even after 2 days like what happened to us, the right time WILL show up again) And as an added bonus, the alarm still goes off on time if it is plugged in and the power is out (so long as you put a battery in it of course :D ). About that snooze button. We had no problems with that either. If you set the clock away from where you sleep, so you have to get up to turn it off, then you will actually look to see where the snooze/radio buttons are. Of course you're going to hit another button if you just reach over the bed, eyes half shut, and slap the thing. We had no problem finding the buttons with our eyes wide open. One more compliment has to be that we didn't find the buzzer annoying either. It was actually pleasant compared to every other one we tried out in the store. Go ahead, try them out. You'll see what we mean. It's more of a beep than a BUZZ! Which was really nice. Me personally I have to have the buzzer on. Otherwise I will fall back asleep to the music, and the one thing I can't stand to hear when I first wake up in the morning, is a loud BUZZ sound. Praise God, they made one that BEEPS for a change. (More customer reviews)You won't have to worry about waking up on time because you'll never get to sleep; the LED display is so bright on low setting that it illuminates the whole room to the point it seems an alien abduction is in progress. All other aspects of this unit are fine, with the exception that you still have to reset the clock after unplugging/power failure, even with a 9V installed. Why, oh why can't Sony make one of their excellent basic models with a blue LED display??

It malfunctions too many times since the time I bought it.
The numbers start flashing, and you cannot reset the time.
I have worked on this clock a couple of times, and it continues to flash.
The best place for this clock is in the trash can.

The tuning is bad too with tiny numbers you can't see without a magnifying glass. The alarm clock features are great, too bad they couldn't have put a decent speaker in it.Stay away from this unless you just want a nice alarm clock.

(More customer reviews)I was hoping that since this was made by Jensen that the sound quality would be better than the average clock/radio. Unfortunately, it was worse than average. Very tinny, I've heard better in the sixties. The price seems to be based on the voice recognition feature, a nice touch if you use the program wake up sounds. It can't be used with the radio setting. The time display is huge and makes a great night light even when set on the dim setting. On the higher setting, you can read by it. Manual controls are easy to use once you get the hang of them.

(More customer reviews)This alarm clock is very attractive on your nightstand. Takes up very little room. It has served us well for over 2 1/2 years, and after sharing it all this time (my husband resets it for me every morning when he gets up) we realized that we should just get a 2nd one! I'm placing my order right now so we'll have his 'n' hers matching alarm clocks on our nightstands. :)

One feature we like is the 2-volume setting. He is a light sleeper and wakes up fine on the quieter setting, whereas I sleep like a log but wake up great on the loud setting.

Edit: I just received the 2nd one and found it to not have the high/low volume setting that I previously wrote about.It also does not have the night light that my old one has.Upon further inspection, I realized that I did not check the model # before writing my review.My old one is model SPC020, which has those 2 features.Whereas this SPC019 does not.I am only noting this for people who might read this review and order based on those features.

It is very small (definitely fits in the palm of your hand) but has a very clear LCD. I like that you can customize the color for the display but I found the basic blue shown in the picture works the best. It is perfect as a second clock for the other side of the bed--presuming there are two people.

(More customer reviews)I bought this to replace my old alarm clock. It has a sleek design that takes up very little space. It has two alarms and can be set to radio, beeps or songs and has an adjustable snooze setting. The built in radio works well and there's a sleep setting so that if you like to fall asleep to the radio you can have it automatically shut off after a certain amount of time.

It has an adjustable brightness level, but I found its default/highest level to be suitable. At that level it's bright enough to see in the dark, but not bright enough to keep me up. The alarm is easy to wake up to and gradually gets louder on the beep setting. It automatically set itself to the correct time and date as soon as I plugged it in, all I had to do is set the time zone. It has a DST feature that can be turned off or on.

The only feature lacking is the ability to customize the alarm for either weekdays, weekends or both. It's not a big deal, especially with two alarms but it would have been nice. Overall I'm very pleased with this alarm clock.

(More customer reviews)My husband and I went through 4 other alarm clocks before we settled on this one.This alarm clock provided everything that was missing in each of our previous alarm clocks.It has a large easy to read from across the room display (but can be dimmed or shut off and then on again w/a wave of the hand), has two separate alarm settings which you can set for weekdays only, weekends only, and weekdays and weekends also w/buzzer,or radio which each of the two alarms can be set to individual preference.Both alarms are displayed constantly underneith the time (which is suprisingly reasuring feature to have) and my husband likes that the alarm shut off button (radio on/off) is a big round button off to the very left side of the alarm which allows him to turn the alarm off every morning without first putting his glasses on and then hunting for the off button.I love it that once you tap the off button, it turns the alarm off for the day and then automatically resets itself to wake me up again the next day.I also have the option to not shut the alarm off and listen to the radio for an hour as I get ready for work, after which time it will shut itself off until the next day again.All in all a very good buy and well worth the money!!

Sony ICF-C318 Automatic Time Set Clock Radio with Dual Alarm (White) Review

(More customer reviews)I bought two of these, (one for my husband and one for my teenage son), since they would automatically reset themselves after a power outage. They both immediately complained that the alarms were not loud enough, (both are VERY heavy sleepers). It does have a very light and polite beep with no volume control. However, the beeps gradually increase in frequency and after week of use, both of them are waking up easily to the sound and without the jarring blasts from our old alarms.
So, it may require getting accustomed to for heavy sleepers, but it's great for those of us who don't like to be blasted awake every day.
