GSI MP4/MP3 "4 GB" Player with High-Definition Camera/Camcorder, FM Radio, Voice Recorder, USB Portable, 2.8-inch Touchscreen - Stylus Included - Upgraded Model Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I ordered this for my step-daughter's birthday 10 days ago.Today is her birthday and according to tracking info, her gift will not be delivered until seven days later. The seller should have disclosed that it would take over a week to ship, therefore I could have paid the extra money for 3-4 days shipping.I've purchased many items eligible for free super-saver shipping and have always received my purchase in 5-7 business days. So, I sent my 12 year old daughter a picture of this MP4 player via email for her birthday.Sorry, but I can't rate anything that I have NOT recieved yet!

EMERSON CKD1100 CD-R/RW Stereo Clock Radio With Dual Alarms And Jumbo 1.2?Ç¥ Green LED Display Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this model from a Walgreen's and after about a month or two, the "Dual Alarms" started working only intermittently. Some mornings they go off, some they don't.

The worst part is that Emerson acknowledges it doesn't work (no doubt because they know these are crap), but will not fix it!In their crass reply to my email, they said, "Please refer to your local phone book under "electronics repair" for an independent service center to repair your Emerson product."

I kept the receipt for a month, then threw it away.Of course not too much later it starts messing up.So I try to get Emerson to repair or replace, and they say without a receipt that they won't repair it.Why do they need a receipt???The serial number proves it is Emerson's piece of junk.Furthermore, there is only a 3 month warranty on this crap anyway - which to me says they're telling you up front that it is garbage and probably going to break soon after you buy it.

Emerson is a bargain basement brand at best. The manager at Walgreen's was nice and replaced it; then he went on to say he had had many, many complaints about this unit.Emerson does not stand behind it's products, does not give good customer service and knows it is selling crap!

DON'T BUY EMERSON PRODUCTS!You have been warned.Good customer service is the key to customer retention.Of course a product that works doesn't hurt either.

Regards,
Someone who will never buy or recommend anything Emerson again.

Kaito Pocket-Size AM/FM & Shortwave Radio with Alarm Clock and LED flashlight, KA202L Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is an OK product which could have been a really goodbut for the lack of some key features and attention to detail.

The good: Digital tuning, good metal build, clockradio function, decent speaker sound (for a little radio), good FM reception, mediocre-average AM reception, good led flashlight, good headphone sound, use of AA (vs AAA) batteries) thus getting longer use. This has some shortwave capability but I wouldn't want to rely on it for that purpose.

Bad or poor: sloppy tuning dial, fiddly switches/knobs too small to use well, NO STEREO through headphones.

Would be nice: a light for the tuning dial, a beeper for the clock for times when you don't want a radio.

Still for $10.00 it's a pretty good buy.If you want a better pocket radio, try the Kaito KA11Kaito Pocket-Size PLL Synthesized AM/FM Shortwave Radio, KA11 .It's better in all categories and not much bigger but 4 times the price.
