(More customer reviews)A couple of items, I was looking for the "perfect" alarm radio and this was about as close as I could get.
1. The pillow speaker comes with it, however it's an added accessory and not a part of the radio.I was not sure if there was a special function that allowed you to use the pillow speaker and yet wake up to radio, but there is not.If you use the pillow speaker, you must use the regular alarm.
2.The regular alarm, however, has a wake up feature that starts with a soft beep and increases volume until it reaches it's normal.This is a really great feature as I wake up early on in it's cycle and it doesn't get irritating.
3. The display is large and easy to read... and VERY bright.You can turn it off, but you cannot dim it.This is the main reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5.I face the radio away from me because of the brightness.I have to turn the face towards me to read it, however I'm farsighted anyway and have an LCD clock across the room that I can read.If you want a night light, it does make an excellent one.
4. The two alarms are quite handy to have.The one feature I wish it would have, and I can't say that I've seen this elsewhere either, is an easy to find button that would cause the alarm to "skip" the current setting.When I get up before the alarm, I have to fiddle with it to change the setting, and then remember to set it back.To set the alarm you have to push the alarm button, then the set button, and then the up/down button.It's not bad, and certainly as easy or easier than many models, but still it would be nice in the morning to just hit one cancel button.
5. I find the reception excellent, both FM and AM
6. I definitely like the atomic clock feature.
