(More customer reviews)A couple of items, I was looking for the "perfect" alarm radio and this was about as close as I could get.
1. The pillow speaker comes with it, however it's an added accessory and not a part of the radio.I was not sure if there was a special function that allowed you to use the pillow speaker and yet wake up to radio, but there is not.If you use the pillow speaker, you must use the regular alarm.
2.The regular alarm, however, has a wake up feature that starts with a soft beep and increases volume until it reaches it's normal.This is a really great feature as I wake up early on in it's cycle and it doesn't get irritating.
3. The display is large and easy to read... and VERY bright.You can turn it off, but you cannot dim it.This is the main reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5.I face the radio away from me because of the brightness.I have to turn the face towards me to read it, however I'm farsighted anyway and have an LCD clock across the room that I can read.If you want a night light, it does make an excellent one.
4. The two alarms are quite handy to have.The one feature I wish it would have, and I can't say that I've seen this elsewhere either, is an easy to find button that would cause the alarm to "skip" the current setting.When I get up before the alarm, I have to fiddle with it to change the setting, and then remember to set it back.To set the alarm you have to push the alarm button, then the set button, and then the up/down button.It's not bad, and certainly as easy or easier than many models, but still it would be nice in the morning to just hit one cancel button.
5. I find the reception excellent, both FM and AM
6. I definitely like the atomic clock feature.

Tranquil Moments White Noise Sound Machine for Baby Review

(More customer reviews)We have used this sound machine every night for 4 1/2 years. Our daughter can't sleep without it. We use it ourselves if one of us wants to take a nap while others are at home and awake. After all that use, the only physical problem we're having is sometimes we have to wiggle the AC adapter to make it work. No big deal really. The biggest problem with this sound machine is that if you turn the volume all the way up, it has that weird crackling sound that you get when a speaker is maxed out. That sound grates on my nerves. I don't turn it all the way up, but my husband and daughter do. The only sound we use now is the white noise. We experimented with all the other sounds when our daughter was a baby. Only the white noise sound is really effective at blocking out household noises, and only if it's all the way up. I definitely recommend a white noise machine for anybody who has trouble sleeping, just maybe not this one.

Grundig G4 World Recorder Black Review

(More customer reviews)The previous (and first) review (Cool design, mediocre performance, July 13, 1999) of the G4 is no doubt a review of the discontinued Grundig Executive Traveler G4, not the new Grundig World Recorder G4 (the World Recorder did not exist in 1999). Currently there do not appear to be any reviews of the G4 World Recorder.

I do not own either radio. My rating is based merely on the fact that Grundig's documentation and specifications fail to mention at what bit rate (Kbps) the G4 will record and the fact that the recording bit rate (i.e. recording quality) is apparently not selectable as there is no mention of it in the user manual.

DLO 007-7083 iBoom Travel for the iPOD (30 PIN) Review

(More customer reviews)I needed a nice looking clock radio with ipod support for less than $100.This just about fills the bill, however, my old $25 Sony clock radio has buttons much better figured out in terms of intuitive use.Biggest problem to date has been that it will stop working for no reason.So far I haven't really solved this, except that I unplug it, replug and play with the buttons again.
